T-8 Targets for 1005-2: Recent tests for 1005-2 appear to indicate a possible issue with the test targets (see attached file from Mark Cooper). After much discussion of the issues, the panel decided to let the system remain unchanged for the time being. Members will consider issues such as running more references, possibly donating tests, 'swagging' a different set of targets, or leaving things as they exist. Mark Cooper will schedule more panel meeting time on this issue. T-11 Target Update: The eleven test targets for 820-3 were approved unanimously (Richards, Campbell), effective Sept. 7, 2007 (see below). TMC OIL 820-3 Parameter N Mean Std. SOOT 11 5.92 0.22 MRV 11 14981 916 SOOT4 11 3.95 0.30 SOOT5 11 6.51 0.20 T11 / T10A used oil MRV correlation: The HDEOCP asked the Mack SP to examine the possibility of correlating the T-10A to the T-11 for the MRV purposes. Jim Rutherford sent out a file with a comparison of the MRV data for 820-2 for the T-10 and T-11 (see attached). He found that the performance difference between the tests was significant, with the T-11 being more severe. Based the only data available, the only recommendation the Mack SP could make was that a used oil MRV from the T-11 at 180 hours that passes CJ-4 should suffice for a passing a used oil MRV from the T-10 or T-10A at CI-4. This was recommendation was approved (motion Shank, second Moritz) without objection and with four abstentions (Richards, Clark, Budd, Buck). Fuel Supply Update: Scott Cobb indicated that Chevron Phillips has completed an industry supply survey for the PC-9 and PC-10 fuels. Scott also gave an update on current fuel amounts. Currently there are about 625,000 gallons of PC-10 fuel certified or in process (includes the 100,000 gallon reserve) with 80,000 ready, an expected 45,000 ready by end of week, and 500,000 ready by end of month. That is approximately a 5 month supply. Currently, there are about 100,000 gallons of PC-9 certified and ready to ship. That is approximately 1.5 - 2 months. The status of a 100,000 reserve of PC-9 is uncertain, Scott took an action item to find that out. He also took an action item to examine beefing up the PC-9 supply and reserve amounts. Next Meeting: Mark Cooper will try to schedule a call for next week to pick up the T-8 target issue again. Please notify me if any corrections are necessary.
