So far, efficiency levels are about where expected (80-85%). Due to miscommunication, the filters were canned with the old style adapter. The new style can be made available with a two to three week delay. Cummins is investigating supply for the old style filter adapter; TEI is investigating truck salvage and/or manufacturing the old adapter. There is also a remote filter mount kit available. General consensus was that salvage may be the best source. It was decided that the old style adapter would be used for the upcoming references. Filters are ready to be shipped by Monday. Crossheads Update - Bob Campbell noted a visual difference in the new crosshead batch (picture attached). Some are "shinier" and some are "yellow" in comparison to the older batches. Cummins noted that they are within production spec and TEI noted that the hardness levels haven't changed. Philipe agreed to send some back to the manufacturer to be examined; Zack Bishop will send him a "shiny" one and a "yellow" one. Timing for References - Filters will go to TEI and then to the labs; crossheads will be examined by Cummins' heat treatment. As such timing couldn't be set for the references, the conversation will continue as information becomes available. Mack T-11 Severity - The new ring batch appears to have shifted the T-11 in the mild direction. Jim Rutherford mentioned that switching the axes may be a possibility, but the introduces other issues we'll need to look at. Jeff Clark will clean up the web data so it may be put to better use for Jim to analyze. There will be a call to discuss this on Friday, April 23 at 1:00 PM EDT.
